My Experiences as a Traveller in Istanbul

My experiences as a tourist in Istanbul

Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia: (also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque), which has 2 most striking features are 6 minarets and blue domed exterior.

Topkapi Palace: is a large palace in Istanbul, Turkey, that was the primary residence of the Ottoman Sultans for approximately 400 years of their 624-year reign

Istanbul Archaeology Museums: is a group of three archeological museums located in the Eminönü district of Istanbul, Turkey, near Gülhane Park and Topkapi Palace

Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum: Housed in what was originally the palce of Ibrahim Pasha, afavourite grand vizier of Suleiman the Magnificent, and overlooking the Hippogrome where Byzantine lovers of chariot racing once brought the same passion to their sport as modern Turks do to football, this museum houses a magnificent collection of gigantic carpets from all over the country

Chora Church: is considered to be one of the most beautiful surviving example of a Byzantine church. The Chora Church was originally built as a part of a monastery complex outside the walls of Constantinople, to the south of the Golden Horn.

Walking across Galata Bridge: You could very well ride the light rail across, but if you choose to walk , you will get to see all the locals fishing from the bridge, the vendors selling sesame covered pretzels, and the boats carrying passengers down the Bosphorus.

Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, which is a heart of economy, culture, and history
City coordinate: 280 01' and 290 55' eastern longitudes and 410 33' and 400 28' North latitude. The South of Istanbul is the Marmara Sea, and its north is the Black sea.

Standard time zone: Eastern European Time ( EET)
Population: 14 million (2013)
Area: 5,343 square kilometers (2,063 sq mi)
Culture: three major world culture: Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman
Distance from Oklahoma to Istanbul:
It takes about 14 hours to flight from Oklahoma, US to Istanbul , Turkey

Industry:
Istanbul contributes 40% of all taxes collected in Turkey and produces 27.5% of Turkey's national product
Major industry product: Food Processing, textile production, oil production, rubber, metal ware, leather, chemicals, electronic, glass, machinery, paper and paper product alcoholic drinks.
Pharmaceutical industry started in 1952, and now there are 34 companies operate in Turkish pharmaceutical industry.

For a short-term stint in Istanbul:
For one or two weeks, I will look for a hotel, which is located in the center of Istanbul.
For more than a months, I would like to live in an apartment with affordable rent. that is more comfortable to me.
the apartment need to have a big bedroom, bathroom and enough appliances in a peaceful area. beside that, it will be near by some famous places in Istanbul, such as Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque or Galata Tower. that facilitate for me to go some where. the place I live have to be convenient on transportation and traffic.

My field - Graphic design in Istanbul:
In Istanbul, the Istanbul Design  Center (IDC) hosts seminar programs and other educational workshops that are open to public, benefiting designers that visit the center as well as anyone who is interested in the field of design and art. There are many chances to develop my profession here. I can gain more experience from some program like this. Graphic designer can design brochures, magazines, logos, website and so forth in Istanbul.

The Red dot is the logo of Finest Thai Gourmet

 Floss is the different thing from my country. Vietnamese usually use bamboo toothpicks which is hard to find in the US.
Moreover, Vietnamese people always take chewing gum instead of breath-strips which is not popular in Vietnam.

Coke is the similar thing to me. I can see coke every where in Viet nam and American. The way Vietnamese and American people drink coke is similar. They drink coke when they are thirsty, especially when they eat fast food.
